Summary of the Influences

As I struggle to understand my style and the purpose behind my pieces, I find satisfaction and inspiration in minimalistic work, as well as packaging. However, I am still in the process of fully understanding what is the purpose behind my artwork and the style I would want to continue expanding on.

Over the years, I have found an importance in learning about our world and the issues many face around the globe. I enjoy viewing Andy Goldsworthy's work as he focuses on the beauty of the environment and he finds a greater beauty in small objects that may be overlooked.

In these two pieces, Andy Goldsworthy gathered and positioned colorful leaves around a center to create an optical illusion. The process is tedious and time consuming, but Andy Goldsworthy finds importance in showcasing the deeper meaning behind these materials. Goldsworthy repurposes the materials found in nature to recreate beautiful art pieces.

Gideon Rubin ................................................................................................

Gideon Rubin focuses on painting memories but he specializes in "Faceless Memories", portraits lacking facial expressions. The lack of expressions leaves room for interpretation and emphasize the body language, the environment, etc. The art pieces feature beautiful color palettes, as well as a mix between visible brush strokes and blending.

Minimalistic Packaging .............................................................................

Minimalistic packaging inspires the designs I implement into my work and the way I treat text as it brings a greater sense of satisfaction and the "want" to purchase the product. The mix between vibrant colors, geometric or organic shapes, and sans serif typefaces catch my attention. This idea continues into the content I consume on social media.
